Have you ever dreamed of swimming like a mermaid? Dive into a world of wonder with our PADI Discover Mermaid Experience! In a safe and supportive environment, guided by a certified PADI Mermaid Instructor, you'll have the opportunity to experience the thrill of mermaiding. Our flexible, enjoyable, and informative session is perfect for those curious about what it's like to swim with a mermaid tail and monofin, in shallow, confined water where you can easily stand.
No experience is needed—just a love of water and the joy of discovering something new! We provide mermaid tails and monofins in a variety of sizes to fit everyone, regardless of age, shape, or experience level.
The PADI Discover Mermaid experience is designed to be flexible, informative, and fun! Here’s what you’ll enjoy:
Total Time Requirement: 1-2 hours of pure mermaid fun!
Online eLearning: Your journey begins with online self-study through PADI elearning. When you arrive for your experience, you’ll get a thorough briefing from your PADI Mermaid Instructor, where you'll discuss the exciting basics of mermaiding.
Shallow Water Adventure: You’ll wear your stunning mermaid tail and dive into the shallow waters for an underwater swimming session. Along with fun mermaid swimming techniques, you'll also get to enjoy some playful games and experience what it truly feels like to swim like a mermaid!
We’re excited to offer these magical courses year-round in the Tri-Sate area. Or, for an unforgettable mermaid experience.
In the Discover Mermaid experience, you’ll have everything you need to feel like a true mermaid:
Monofin, tailskin, mask, snorkel, and fins. Wetsuits are available to add on to your experience.
While it’s best to use gear specifically designed for mermaiding, you may be able to use some of your own snorkeling equipment during this introductory session. If you're a freediver, you might already own some gear that's perfect for mermaiding, too!
Minimum Age: 6 years and up
Swimming Skills: You should be able to swim comfortably without any aids, float at the surface, and be in good physical health.
No prior mermaiding or freediving experience is required.
